The Family 734 exists to build a strong, connected urban music community in Washtenaw county by empowering urban artists through education, artist development, performance opportunities, and direct fan support. Our mission is to provide the resources, knowledge, and platforms artists need to build sustainable creative careers while fostering authentic relationships between artists, fans, and the community. We are committed to strengthening local culture and working toward the creation of a dedicated community space where our artist members can create music, perform, collaborate, and access supportive housing.

What Sets Us Apart
There has never been a lack of Urban Music talent in Washtenaw County. The artists are here. The DJs are here. The producers, creators, and supporters are all here. What’s been missing is a system that connects everything together and turns individual motion into real momentum. Too many creatives have been grinding in isolation. Too many opportunities have been scattered or out of reach. Too much potential has gone untapped.
The Family 734 exists to change that.
This started with a simple idea:
What if the local music scene actually moved like a unit?
Not just artists dropping music on their own.
Not just DJs working their own rooms.
Not just events happening without continuity.
But a real ecosystem where everything is connected, coordinated, and intentional.
The Family 734 was created to bring structure to a culture that already exists and give it the tools to grow, compete, and sustain itself at a higher level.

The Family envisions a connected and thriving 734 music community where urban artists, fans, and supporters grow together. We aim to build a sustainable ecosystem that not only develops creative careers through education and collaboration, but also funds and maintains a dedicated community space where artists can create music, perform, and access safe, supportive housing. Through music, we strengthen culture, opportunity, and community connection.
